The purpose of this event is to introduce women who are new to, or not currently involved in the sport to shooting ranges and sport shooting. Volunteer members of the Orono Fish and Hunt will provide an assortment of firearms for display and use. We will have various handguns, pistols, revolvers and rifles both rimfire and centerfire. You will learn the fundamentals regarding the safe handling and use of firearms. Range safety and target shooting techniques at an assortment of targets.

This is a day on the range of The Orono Fish and Hunt Club set aside just for Women only.

To participate in this event you must be female and a minimum of 18 years of age or older by September 1st, 2024.

No experience is necessary. You do not require a firearms license to participate in this event.

Information will be provided at the event on how to obtain your Firearms Possession and Acquisition Licenses if you do not currently have one and you wish to apply for the future.

Time: Our facility will open at 9:00am, registration will begin at 9:30am. There will be a safety orientation given to all participants prior to the handling and use of any firearms. Range opens at 10:00am and concludes at 3:00pm, witha break for lunch from 12:00 till 1:00pm.

Cost : Tickets are $110.00 per person

Tickets are non-refundable. Please verify your availability to attend this event prior to your ticket purchase. Refunds will only be provided if the event is cancelled by the Orono Fish and Hunt Club.

The event will be held RAIN or SHINE at our outdoor range. But please note all our shooting ranges are covered. Our indoor washrooms are warm, modern and comfortable.

Swag : All participants will receive a gift bag with all range related safety equipment that will be required for the event and some small gift items.

Lunch : A hot lunch and refreshments are included in the ticket price. It will be catered by Frantastic Events served from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Refreshments, snacks and dessert will be available throughout the day. Feel free to bring your own personal refillable water bottle. A refilling station will be provided.

Proceeds of the Event : All proceeds generated from this event will be forwarded to the Bethesda House in Bowmanville. ON.

Door Prizes : All participants will be entered into a draw for available door prizes.
